While you are in Los Angeles, it wouldn’t be terrible if you happened to be sitting next to your celebrity crush at lunch, would it? Here are some good bets for a fun L.A. Sighting Story to bring home with you.
This Guide to Spotting a Celebrity in LA has some really great tips (and they start at LAX!) and this one is their guide to spotting while shopping – its a twofer!
… and here are some of our picks.
The Grove
At least 50% of the times I’ve been there, I’ve seen a small pack of hungry paparazzi on the prowl because they got a hot tip – and you know where there’s paparazzi, you’ll find someone magazine worthy. Usually, its someone who you’d find in People or US magazine. The best was when we stood next to a recently freed Katie Holmes and cute little Suri by the fountain. It took us a while to realize that everyone was not actually staring at pointing at us…
Trader Joe’s on Sunset
Sometimes it’s hard to spot the celebrities when they are just running into the store to grab the seasonal gratitude kombucha on the way to their next meeting, but if you pay attention, you can spot them.
TJ Maxx
Favorite celebrity sighting ever? Jane Lynch checking out next to me at TJ Maxx at the Beverly Connection. Can’t beat that.
Rock & Roll Ralphs
So that group in line with the three 6 packs of beer, a dozen omega 3 eggs, and a bottle of Jack at 3pm on Friday who looks like they either just left the Whiskey or maybe are on their way there are probably rock gods – or at least they want to be. See if you can guess who they are behind the big dark glasses.
Urth Caffé on Melrose
This is a great people watching spot even if you don’t happen to spot an actual celebrity. Honestly, sometimes the ones who haven’t hit the mainstream are the most fascinating ones. Plus, the brunch is legendary.
Melrose between Crescent Heights & La Cienega (and don’t miss Melrose Place)
So many stores. So Little time. Be sure to go to Fred Segal, Paul Smith and grab a vegan chai with CBD oil or a bullet proof coffee at Alfred.
Third Street between Laurel and Orlando (stop for brunch at Joans on Third)
Alcove Cafe
Right in the heart of Los Feliz and the neighborhood of choice for LA based celebrities, Alcove Cafe is a great place to stop and people watch while you have some lunch.
And here’s another list of places celebrities like to shop in Los Angeles! Isn’t the internet grand!
